Manta Bridge is the route people use to move crypto assets between Ethereum, other supported chains, and Manta Pacific. If you are new to Manta Network, that distinction matters: the bridge does not buy a different token for you. It moves assets between chains.
Manta Pacific is the EVM Layer-2 side of Manta Network. In beginner terms, it is a blockchain environment built to work with Ethereum-style wallets, addresses, apps, and transactions, while operating as its own network. You still use a wallet such as MetaMask, you still approve transactions, and you still need gas. Once funds arrive on Manta Pacific, they are on that destination chain, not sitting on Ethereum waiting to be used.
The practical problem is simple: your assets may start on Ethereum, but the app or action you want may be on Manta Pacific. Manta Bridge gives you a deposit and withdrawal path so you can enter and leave the Manta ecosystem with fewer avoidable mistakes.
Manta Pacific is an Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 network connected to the broader Manta Network ecosystem. Wallet flows and smart contract patterns can feel similar to Ethereum, but Manta Pacific is a separate execution environment, not Ethereum mainnet itself.
That difference is where beginners often get tripped up. The same wallet address can appear on Ethereum and Manta Pacific, but funds do not automatically exist on both networks. If your ETH or token is on Ethereum, your wallet may show nothing when you switch to Manta Pacific until you deposit across a bridge. If funds are on Manta Pacific, you need a withdrawal process to move them back out.
MANTA is the network's token. It may appear in wallet balances, ecosystem apps, or fee-related contexts, but bridging is still about moving supported assets between chains. It is not the same thing as swapping one asset for another.
Before using Manta Bridge, have the basics ready:
If this is your first cross-chain transfer, use a small test amount first. It confirms your wallet, network, token, and destination before you move more.
Think of the bridge as a controlled passage between chains. A deposit moves funds onto Manta Pacific. A withdrawal moves funds away from Manta Pacific to a supported destination, such as Ethereum. The bridge handles the cross-chain movement, while your wallet signs the transactions that authorize it.
Use Manta Bridge when your goal is to deposit assets to Manta Pacific or withdraw assets from it.
Step 1: Connect your wallet.
